For 5-year junior college, there are 350 students.
For 4-year college, Day-programs, there are 1,175 students.
For 2-year college, Day-programs, there are 170 students.

When does the academic year commence?

The annual Enrollment schedule is initiated commenced Sep until of August next year.

What is the difference between Five-Year junior college programs and Two-Year college programs and Four-Year college programs?

Junior high school graduates can be admitted to high schools, vocational high schools or 5-year junior colleges. Our 5-year junior college programs offer students 5 language majors, including English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.

Graduates of 5-year junior colleges can be admitted to 2-year junior colleges. Our 2-year junior colleges provide students with 4 majors, including English, Translation & Interpretation, Japanese and Spanish majors. After graduating from the 2-year junior colleges, students will be offered with B.A. degrees.

High school or Vocational high school graduates can be admitted to colleges, universities or technical colleges. Wenzao is one of the technical colleges and offers students with 13 language and language application majors. After graduating from the 4-year college programs, students can get B.A. degrees.

Are Wenzao degrees recognized widely?

Can I work if I am an international student?

International students who wish to work / intern in Taiwan (either on campus or off campus) is required to apply for and obtain a work permit before starting work. And once you have the work permit, you can work 20 hours per week during the semester.

Does tuition fees include accommodation and food?

No, Tuition fees does not include accommodation and food.

Wenzao do not offer the study loan for international students.

Is there any financial assistance scheme for undergraduate/postgraduate international students?

Wenzao offer “Sr. Fidelis Wang, OSU Scholarship” for students whose families earn an annual family income less than NT$70,000 to apply for subsidy for tuition and miscellaneous fees.

How can I get the full scholarship?

We offer full scholarship for 50 outstanding students every academic year.

The items that can be applied are:

International students who would like to apply for Wenzao’s scholarships have to submit:

the documentations of parents’ yearly incomes (such as the income documents offered by the employers or the copies of the bank account books proving that the income is monthly deposited by the employers) and the scholarship application form along with the application documents.

When will I know the results of my application?

After submitting the application for the scholarship, it will take at least two months for examination and approval. The winners will be informed individually after the announcement.

For students who apply for master degree program, you will know the result in the end of May.

For students who apply for five-year junior college program, two-year college program and four-year college program, you will know the result in the end of July.

 

I am a current Wenzao student and I wish to change my program. What should I do?

You should go on the Enrollment website of Wenzao (http://d003.wzu.edu.tw/category/147342) to search for announcements and information about program transfer. The annual program transfer for the Spring semester is scheduled from Dec. to Feb. while the program transfer for the Fall semester is conducted from Jun. to Aug. The announcements of program transfer will provide students with information about the test, document reviews, and/or interview as well as recruitment quota of different departments (majors).

What documents should I submit when I apply Wenzao study loan?

【Student Loan】Only students who has the ROC identity card can apply.

  1. Prepare the following information for the first time applying for a school loan:
    1. Kaohsiung Bank Network Application Form.
    2. Student card.
    3. Payment slip.
    4. Student and parent seals and identity cards copies.
    5. Within three months the Students and guardian’s Household Registration Transcript should be applied in Kaohsiung Bank.(Only one parent for student above 20 can make it, and both parents for students under 20 )
  2. If applying for the second time, parents (guardians) does not need to attend. Except for not needing to bring the Household Registration Transcript, the other information is the same.
