General Education Center

About our Center

Philosophy

Since its establishment, Wenzao University has embraced the ethos of “Revere the divine, love the human” to cultivate an international, multi-language academic environment and instill holistic personal characteristics in its students. Simultaneously, the university provides a diverse range of academic programs, courses, activities, events, and ceremonies aimed at enhancing students’ language proficiency, fostering global perspectives, and nurturing well-rounded personalities. Our educational programs aspire to shape students into social elites and leaders prepared for active participation in society.

The General Education Center plays a pivotal role by offering a variety of courses that complement the curricula provided by professional disciplines. Its primary goal is to cultivate students’ competence, confidence in problem discovery and analysis, and the development of critical thinking skills. While contemporary education tends to emphasize the incubation of technical and practical knowledge, the emphasis on ethical and values-based education has diminished in college settings. In this context, the role of general education becomes crucial and indispensable for attaining higher-level knowledge.

At Wenzao University, students engage in language-related courses within their respective majors. The General Education Center contributes to the development of well-rounded personalities by offering courses across diverse disciplines, including natural science, applied science, technology, law, culture, arts, history, philosophy, social science, and music. This comprehensive approach ensures that students receive a full spectrum of education, contributing to their personal and academic growth within the university community.
