The Ministry of Education announced the registration rates for universities, colleges, and junior colleges for the 2023 academic year today. Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages has won students’ and parents’ recognition with its outstanding educational performance. New student registration for its five-year junior college program has reached 99.8%, and the overall new student registration exceeded 70% for all programs. It is undeniable the University is highly regarded by people from all spheres for its educational feature of training international interdisciplinary talents with focus on “foreign languages + professions”.
Currently, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages has five colleges, 13 departments, 7 master’s degree classes, and 2 in-service master’s degree classes. Since its founding, Wenzao has used the “target languages” as media of instruction for foreign language courses, and it is the only college in Taiwan that offers “dual foreign languages program” in its five-year junior college division. In the first three years of Wenzao’s five-year junior college program, each student is required to study two foreign languages concurrently, and the fourth- and fifth-year students may take elective modules of professional courses to augment their interdisciplinary professional knowledge and advanced professional language usage.

The University has collaborated with a number of world-renowned corporations to cultivate talents that meet the industry’s needs. Interdisciplinary courses offered cover the following areas: high-tech and semiconductor, intelligent machinery, international trade and finance, international affairs, communication and digital technology, boutique hotel management, aviation logistics, tourism and hospitality, etc. Through internship and service, local and overseas corporate resources are integrated to offer one-stop training opportunities for students, from study to internship, education to employment. In face of manpower shortage for the technology industry, Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages has offered the “Training of High-Tech Industry Talent” program in collaboration with the nearby science parks to respond to the market demand. The University has cooperated with such multinational manufacturers as TSMC, HIWIN, Merck, ASML, and UMC to help students’ transition to the high-tech workplace and the national high-tech education of technology talents. Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages offers multiple and diverse local and overseas internship and exchange opportunities for students. The University has more than 300 signed sister schools around the world, and regularly sends selected students to overseas sister schools for exchange study or dispatches them for local or overseas internship.
