The results of the Cheers Magazine “2026 Most Favored University Students by Enterprises” survey have been announced, with Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages delivering an outstanding performance among universities nationwide. The university ranked among the top 30 public and private universities in Taiwan and was placed second among private technological universities, surpassing many national universities and long-established private institutions.
The survey was conducted by Cheers Magazine through questionnaires completed by HR managers from Taiwan’s top 2,000 enterprises. Respondents evaluated universities based on nine indicators considered essential for talent recruitment: resilience and stability, self-directed learning and adaptability, professional knowledge and technical skills, interpersonal communication and teamwork, problem-solving ability, global perspective and foreign language proficiency, innovation and creativity, AI and digital tool application skills, and interdisciplinary integration and application.
As Wenzao approaches its 60th anniversary, the university has consistently upheld internationalization as the core of its educational philosophy. Wenzao places strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning and has developed a distinctive “Language x Professional Expertise” educational model, encouraging students to extend their language strengths into professional and industrial applications.
In response to the growing talent shortage in the technology sector, Wenzao has collaborated with neighboring science and technology parks to continuously offer “High-Tech Industry Talent Training Programs” that meet market demands. The university has also partnered with leading multinational corporations such as TSMC, ASE Technology, HIWIN Technologies, Merck Taiwan, ASML, and UMC to create internship and employment opportunities for students in the semiconductor and technology industries.
Students from language-related departments, including German and English, have demonstrated exceptional performance in multinational team communication, document processing, and cross-cultural collaboration during internships, leveraging their language advantages to earn high praise from employers. These achievements highlight Wenzao’s success in cultivating interdisciplinary talent.
In response to the rapid rise of AI and fast-changing industry demands, Wenzao has integrated generative AI into teaching and launched interdisciplinary courses that align with industry needs. Through curriculum modules and internship matching mechanisms, students from humanities backgrounds are able to enter the technology sector and gain practical experience. The university aims to cultivate international professionals equipped with language proficiency, technological literacy, and cross-cultural communication skills.
In terms of international exchange, Wenzao provides diverse opportunities for overseas exchange programs, dual-degree programs, and short-term study abroad experiences. Every year, hundreds of students participate in in-depth exchanges with sister universities across Europe, the United States, and Asia. The university also boasts a high proportion of international faculty and overseas students, creating a multilingual and multicultural learning environment.
Over the past three years, Wenzao has received more than NT$10 million in funding through the Ministry of Education’s Study Abroad Scholarship Programs for Outstanding Students (Xuehai Project), ranking first among Taiwan’s private technological universities. This achievement demonstrates Wenzao’s strong commitment to promoting international mobility. With excellent cross-cultural communication skills and expertise in digital technology, business management, and new media marketing, Wenzao students have become highly sought-after talents among employers.
