The 104 Job Bank recently released its 2026 “University Brand Power” rankings. Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages delivered outstanding results in the “Best Academic Cluster Awards,” ranking second nationwide in the Foreign Languages category and first among private universities—just behind National Taiwan University. The achievement highlights Wenzao’s excellence in foreign language education, interdisciplinary integration, and global engagement.
As it approaches its 60th anniversary, Wenzao has long positioned internationalization as the core of its educational mission. The university has developed a distinctive “Language + Professional Expertise” interdisciplinary teaching model, guiding students to extend their language skills into industry applications. In recent years, Wenzao has also actively collaborated with leading high-tech companies such as TSMC, ASE Group, and ASML, expanding internship and employment opportunities for students in the semiconductor and technology sectors.
Students from language-related departments, including German and English, have demonstrated strong performance in internship settings. Leveraging their language advantages, they have excelled in multinational team communication, document handling, and cross-cultural collaboration, earning high recognition from industry partners. These outcomes have become a key highlight of Wenzao’s interdisciplinary talent cultivation.
In response to the rise of AI and rapidly changing industry demands, Wenzao has integrated generative AI into its teaching practices, launched interdisciplinary courses, and developed curriculum modules aligned with industry needs alongside internship matching mechanisms. These initiatives enable students from humanities backgrounds to enter the technology sector, gain hands-on experience, and become internationally competitive professionals equipped with language proficiency, technological literacy, and cross-cultural communication skills.
In terms of international engagement, Wenzao offers a wide range of overseas exchange programs, dual-degree programs, and short-term study opportunities. Each year, hundreds of students participate in in-depth exchanges with partner universities across Europe, the United States, and Asia. The university also hosts a high proportion of international faculty and overseas students, creating a multilingual and culturally diverse learning environment.
Over the past three years, Wenzao has accumulated over NT$10 million in funding through the Ministry of Education’s Study Abroad Programs for Outstanding Students (including the Flying Swan and Study Abroad Scholarship programs), ranking first among private universities of technology in Taiwan. This achievement further demonstrates Wenzao’s strong performance in promoting international mobility and global learning opportunities.
