Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages continues to advance its AI education initiatives by positioning its AI Innovation Development Center as a key hub for integrating global technological resources. In collaboration with NVIDIA, the university hosted the “GTC Taipei NVIDIA CEO Keynote Campus Livestream Event” on June 1, featuring a live broadcast of NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang’s keynote presentation on the latest AI technologies and industry trends. The event attracted more than 300 students, faculty members, and alumni. Through real-time livestreaming and interactive discussions, participants gained firsthand insights into cutting-edge developments in the global technology industry, demonstrating Wenzao’s proactive engagement with the international AI ecosystem and its commitment to embracing the AI era.
In her opening remarks, Wenzao President Hwei-Lin. Chuang stated that AI is rapidly reshaping both education and industry. She noted that Wenzao has fully launched its AI transformation process by systematically integrating digital tools and intelligent applications into student learning, teaching practices, and administrative management, with the goal of building a smart campus that combines humanistic values with technological innovation. President Chuang emphasized that Wenzao’s strong foundation in languages and the humanities serves as a key advantage in connecting with the international community. The university will continue strengthening partnerships with global technology companies to cultivate interdisciplinary talent equipped with language proficiency, critical thinking, and technological expertise. She added that the livestream event also enabled students to stay informed about the latest developments in generative AI while broadening their global perspectives.
Since its establishment, Wenzao’s AI Innovation Development Center has integrated language education, cultural content, and digital technology resources to implement various interdisciplinary projects and workshops, attracting nearly one thousand participants from among faculty and students. The center has collaborated with the university’s Information and Instructional Technology Center and Blue Planet Information Co. to enhance AI software and hardware infrastructure. Together, they co-organized the “FAQ Intelligent Customer Service Chatbot Development Project” and hosted the “Campus Administrative AI Applications Seminar.” The center also assisted the university in joining the TAICA Alliance, signing a memorandum of understanding with the Taiwan AI Academy, and introducing “Easy-to-Use AI” teaching materials into required university courses and teacher training workshops in southern Taiwan.
Through a Ministry of Education practical learning environment project, the Department of Digital Content Application and Management at Wenzao has officially established the “GAI-3D Design Laboratory.” The laboratory is equipped with high-performance workstations powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 graphics cards and integrates instructional resources from the NVIDIA Omniverse platform to support professional courses in generative design, parametric modeling, and 3D content creation. In the upcoming semester, the university also plans to invite industry experts from NVIDIA and related sectors to teach on campus, further strengthening industry-academia collaboration and setting a new benchmark for AI practical education among universities in southern Taiwan.
Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages will continue deepening strategic partnerships with international technology leaders by introducing advanced AI technologies and practical resources to comprehensively enhance the AI application capabilities and innovative thinking of its faculty and students.
